Parent Action Team

South has a Parent Action Team (PAT) which serves our school like a Parent Teacher Organization. All the efforts of PAT are aimed at providing extra financial support to our school which in turn goes directly to the student body. In the past PAT has provided theatrical presentations, PE equipment, AR rewards, class picnics, Field Day, and other activities for South.

In the fall, PAT sponsors a Yankee Candle Fundraiser. It, also, supports Open House, grade level and chorus performances, Math Reading Night, and Spring Fling.

Parents and community members are encouraged to collect Box Tops for Education which helps PAT earn cash for our school. The class who collects the most Box Tops each month is rewarded with ice cream from our cafeteria.

PAT has registered South Elementary in the Martinís A+ Rewards program. South earns cash each time one shops at Martinís using your bonus card between October and March. Participation is easy and our school earns 1% credit of the total purchases. Parents and community members are encouraged to sign up for this program at Martinís website.

Since 1997, REDcard holders enrolled in Targetís Take Charge of Education. Money from this program has been used to fund field trips, purchase books and technology equipment. Enroll for free and Target will donate 1% of your REDcard purchases to our school. Target credit card and Visa credit card account holders can sign up by calling 800-316-6142 or by visiting Target.com/tcoe or at an in- store kiosk.

South also participates in the Amerigas "School Days Program". Parents turn in their receipts and our school earns $.02 per receipt.

South is extremely grateful for all the hard work that Kelly Clements provides as she coordinates the fall fundraiser and many of the PAT activities! She certainly is dedicated community member.
