Helping Hands




Students nominated by their teacher to be a representative of the North Elementary Helping Hands Committee for 2012-2013 school Year. Children are selected because they have shown good citizenship, displayed appropriate classroom behaviors, and have met academic requirements of satisfactory work.

The following items are expected responsibilities of a student representative:

  • Student Representatives will be helping with service projects. (i.e Pennies for PatientsCandy Cane Grams, Coat Drive, Valentine Grams)
  • Student Representatives will sponsor a spirit week.
  • Student Representatives will be asked to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at assemblies/programs.


They will meet with Ms. Julie Dietz the Helping Hands Committee several times this year to discuss issues, ideas, and upcoming events.

Kindergarten

Your child will learn how to follow rules, basic writing, and math skills.

1st Grade

Longer school days and homework assignments fine tune what your child learned in kindergarten.

2nd Grade

Your child will learn complex sentences, addition and subtraction.

3rd Grade

Your child can expect nightly homework, and will learn how to multiply numbers and write paragraphs.

4th Grade

Long term projects, computers, and calculators are introduced.

Your child will increase his vocabulary, and learn fractions and decimals.
